montreal,
The idle seems to be fine aroung 750-1000 RPM. When tap the gas pedal, the RPM climb and lower like it should do but the RPS goes under 750 RPM and the car sometimes stall.

The RPM lower when I push the clutch in.

I checked for boost leak and there is none.
I swaped the ISC with a used one, didn't change anything.
The TPS is set to 0.5V with DSMlink.

The problem seems like the motor is changing too quickly for the ISC to react. Maybe because of my mods?

Maybe my mods will be important for this problem. I have:
2.3L stroker
ACT 2600 Clutch
a fidanza flywheel
no balancer shaft
Wiseco piston
Eagle rods

Your help would be gladly welcome.

When I torn my TB apart, I cleaned my FIAV. Once all was put togheter, I found this picture. It is not like my FIAV. I remember that mine has hole in it in the same pattern but only a plate was covering the FIAV. Also there were no small plate with screw. Why is that?

HAHA so sorryLOL I forgot to post it

ok but how is that? My engine is a 6 bolts stroker. And I used this block before the stroker conversion without this problem. Does that means that thrust bearing were not at the good spec during installation of the crank?

First step is to measure crankshaft endplay. Another possibility is that your clutch needs to be adjusted, as you could be making the fingers of the pressure plate contact the clutch disc when disengaging the clutch.

I would start there, personally.

ok thanks for for the clutch problem possible solution. I'll check that as soon as I have free time. But for the idle problem? That is the most annoying problem on my car.

I got stuck in a traffic jam on the highway. That was horrible, my idle was at like 3000rpm. Once the jam was clear, I drove a bit on the highway and I took my exit. My idle was just fine to about 1000rpm.

I hope these details of my problem will help you find the answer because I'm feed up of my car.

Try blipping the throttle and see if it comes back down. If so, your throttle plate may be sticking.

im assuming you have an exhaust on there too correct. Restrictive exhaust can allow a poor idle, and would be a part of the time in RPM drops when you let off the gas.

Yes I have an exhaust. ok tomorow I will check the cat for clogging. I'll check endplay at my crank too. I belive 0.010 inch is the limit. For the plate sticking, I will log a couple of runs and see if the tps reading is the same when idle surge. I will give you feedback when its done.

I saw a couple of dsmlink logs and I saw that mine are not like other. My front O2 sensor seems to act funny like it is reading oxygen (low voltage). The problem is that it has done the same thing with 2 O2 sensors and 2 different motors. The only thing that didn't change is the ECU and TB (from a 90 I think). Look at the log and try to give me your opinion on it.

It is official, my crank is walking. It moves 0.035 inch. It is a 6 bolts. Now what? I check for my thrust bearing clearance?

By the way, is it possible to change the thrust bearing by the oil pan without dropping completely the crank?
