So my car all of a sudden wouldn't start in the driveway. It would try and turn over and sometimes it would start for a moment but then die. I got it off the driveway and into the street and then it started. It ran and drove. However, now my RPMS act wierd. When I put the clutch in the RPMs won't fall to normal idle numbers but instead go down to 1500 or 2000 RPMs until I come to a complete stop. Which is wierd to me and I don't have a check engine light on.

Any clues?

Either an O2 sensor, Coolant temp sensor, or the throttle cable

Ya those all seem likely. Now my idle won't drop below 1000-1200 even parked.

Cars sometimes!

there are a few things you can check.
1. clutch engagement point may have to be adjusted so that the car reads that you have the clutch in
2. ICV (idle control valve) could possibly use replacement.
3. BISS (base idle selector screw) is located on the top of the trottle body on the left hand side of the intake manifold. These frequently go on DSM's and it is an easy fix. Its just an idle screw that sets your idle speed, they get worn and loose and make the idle jump around.
good luck man. :thumb:

Check everything for idle surge fixes. Like vac lines, isc, idle screws, all wires on, etc. Look at ecu also to see why wouldnt start.

My Check Engine light finally came on today! So I will get it checked and let you guys know. Thanks for all the advice though! I appreciate it. :thumb:

Unless you have a chip with a stutterbox and the clutch wire mod the ECU normally doesn't have any connection to the clutch. What the ECU does is look at the Idle Position Sensor and the Vehicle Speed Sensor. If the IPS is closed and the car is moving it keep the engine RPM up until you come to a stop. This is so the power steering isn't loading the engine and causing it to stall.
