I was wondering if the IPS on my 94 GS n/t is interchangeable with my 91 TSi. Are all IPS the same as far turbo vs non turbo throttle bodies? Also I know a bad ISC will fry an ECU, how about a bad IPS? How about the ISC and TOS, are they also the same as far as non turbo/turbo throttle bodies. Thanks. Sorry I could find this info anywhere

According to CAPS, the idle switch and the TPS that are used on the turbo cars are also used on the non turbo 2 liter motors.

Is your idle switch no longer working?

If that's the case, here's a good tip I've used on quite a few switches. Remove the little boot at the end of the idle switch. If you take some electric parts cleaner (you can get this at your local auto store) and use the straw to spray some into the idle switch (wear eye protection) where the plunger is and then use your finger to work the switch around in a circle while pushing in and then in and out a few times. Shake the cleaner out and repeat a few times. Usually this will remove any gunk that's built up over time that was preventing the switch from working properly.

It's worked for me on more than a few switches for myself and friends.
