idle issues, no clue where to start

So here it goes, my car was running fine but had some boost leaks at the throttle body so I decided to go with a 1g n/t throttlebody bored out to 65mm from throttlebodies.com. With the tb installed, I also got a non-cruise cable because i deleted my cruise control system. After that, my car was stuck idling at 2500-3000rpms. So I figured it must be in the computer/tune. Get my car tuned, still couldn't figure out the issue and figured it was the tb fault. got the throttle plate refinished and the throttle body inspected again, then got an evo 3 manifold and installed that with the new tb and here i am, still suck idling at 2500-3000rpms. idle screw is adjusted all the way in. any ideas?
 
Are you using the proper throttle body gasket? the 1g N/T TB uses a different gasket than the Turbo TB.
Small item but it can cause a huge amount of air to directly pass the throttle plate.
 
That gets my vote too, so if that is the case would he have to wire pin 3 from the tps harness to the 1g idle switch then?

I'm not real sure on that. I run the same tb and I just have the 2g tps on it and it works fine. He also has v3 according to his mods so he can just simulate idle switch. I would check for boost leaks, make sure cable isn't kinked or too tight and check isc first if it were my car. Can you post a log? Can help a lot more with that.
 
bare with me i was just driving the car around and did tps adjustment and got it down to 1600
give me an hour and i should have it all figured out how to post a log, i was "capturing" but nothing saved to my computer so i'm gonna go drive around some more

my mechanic just adjusted my throttle cable again (he made it looser than i had it), the only issue i notice now is after a pull when i shift from 3rd to 4th gear, the throttle plate sticks or something and the cable is sticking. there are no boost leaks either. steve monroe from throttlebodies.com sent me the gasket so it's whatever he thought i should be using, and yes i reused the 2g switches

target idle was/is 750, i figured i'd get smart and try putting it at 400 or something to trick the computer into idling lower, didn't work LOL
could it be i need the iac valve from a 1g nt throttle body? cause i reused mine from the 2g turbo throttle body

Did you make all of the adjustments on there? start by reading and doing this http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/ecmlink-tuning-log-file-advice/443297-please-read-before-you-ask-ecmlink-dsmlink-log-advice.html also make sure you are capturing everything you are supposed to. Also you need to let the car warm up all the way. At least to 176*. For starters I would redo your tps adjustment, set your tps volts and do a blt "correctly". is your emmisions deleted? you have cel codes for evaporative purge control valve malfunction. Do you have a mdp? you have a code for that as well, along with rear 02 sensor heater malfunction. You have a wb but you aren't logging it.? Where is your wb at?

Let me know about this, do everything in the links above and come back with another log. also make sure your fuel pressure is 43.5. An easy way is with the car off go into ecu config., Misc and then activate fuel pump. While doing this make sure you don't have any fuel leaks as well.

my wideband died on the dyno, i have a new one otw right now
and yes i deleted emissions but haven't been into link to delete all the CELs
i'll get all this done and come back with a log, will be a few days
 
I had an idle concern not long ago. I was idling @ around 2000 I adjusted the throttle cable and sensor, watched tps on a scanner from 0-100% while slowly pushing gas pedal, finally I found a fault in the reading when I monitored with my dmm. I would go through those steps before I did anything else. I had a spare tps I put in and all was well. hope this helps
 
another attempt at log, wideband is otw in the mail
we tried swapping to the 1g nt isc to see if anything changed, not much changed but the idle got a little more eratic.
it seems air is getting past the throttle plate, steve who built my throttle body said this was possible due to a warped intake manifold flange but it idled like this on my 2g intake and my evo 3 intake manifold so idk what the problem is at this point
if i take it to wot when driving and shift, the throttle plate/wheel gets stuck and it is very hard for me to press on my accelerator

If it does then its a problem with the tb. If not it's cable related. My tb also rubbed on the cruise control box so check that also. Did you send your sensors for him to check also?

You still didn't do what is said in the links. You have to capture all of those values if you want our help. Is your biss set correctly? What's your fp set to
? how and where did you do your blt? What kind of plugs and gap? Ignition timing? Arent you running a gm maf? you didn't select one on your maf comp page? Is your tb closing all the way? look inside there with the coupler off and see. Give us as much info as you can on all of your settings.

idk WTF i got from ecmlink but i'm pretty upset, they converted my noneprom ecu
and i download from the site the exe, run it and it says my ecmlink is old i need to get the new one, i put my cd in from my ecmlink package and it says the same thing. i don't have some of the values it asks me to list would you like a s/s? i'm having a terrible time getting my car running right, it has been two years this april since i got the car and it has yet to be properly tuned/driveable
/ also i'm pretty sure it is the tb because when i bolted it up it kind of stuck, just barely only sometimes i couldn't get it to do it after a couple of times so i put it on and it acts the exact same way on the car. sticks a lot at first then it's easier to move around
