idiot lights on dim

So I have had these two idiot lights on dimly for about 2 weeks.

My battery was dead so I replaced that.
My alternator was shot so I replaced that as well.
Installed both, and put a new belt on the Alternator.

Still have the same two idiot lights on very dim, sometimes you can only see them at night. The two lights are the battery, and the brake.


Now I don't know if it has anything to do with this but there has been a strange sound coming from the Evaporative emission purge solenoid, but only at around 1100 RPM. This has been going on for much longer than the other things. But I figured I would list that as well.

Your new alternator may be crap.

or your gauge pod is burnt out and current it jumping to those light

make sure the gray plug that goes into the alternator is plugged in ALL of the way. I had a similar issue several years back and turned out that when I put the alternator back in, the plug was in there, but did not fully seat and *click* into place.
