If I am pull my cylinder head and take a look down at the pistons, I was just wondering if there is any way for me to tell whether or not the pistons are stock, are 2g pistons, or aftermarket just by looking at the tops.

Previous owner asserts that they are aftermarket and I just want to see if I can verify that.

Thanks

Yeah, stock pistons, both 1g and 2g, are stamped on the top. Post up what you find and someone will let you know.

I have a spare motor with 2nd gen. piston 1st gen. rod combo. Pistons have 63DTF1 on the top of them.

Awesome, sounds easier to identify than cams....will post when I get there...eventually!

Thanks
