I think I need a new Tranny

I just bought my Eagle 2 months ago and I had just put a new clutch into it abut 2 weeks ago. I was driving along and I shifted into 3rd at 5500 Rpms (it shifted perfectly) driving it in 3rd for about 30 secs, then I dont know what happened but it made a noise like a bunch of metal falling apart then my clutch went straight to the floor and I was on the side of the road....I tried putting it in first and it just made a grinding noise but wouldnt move at all(note that it went into first without the cluch engaged)...I tried every gear and still did the same thing does anyone know what would have caused this to happen?

It sounds like the gears inside your tranny or the fork it your tranny is broke..Thats what I assume.

Oh yea i forgot to mention i had the tranny rebuilt a month ago also.....

Is yourr car leaking any fluids, that you noticed?

I checked my fluid level and it wasnt low.....and i didnt notice any leakage of fluids anywhere....it has had problems ever since I bought it and it seems like as soon i fix one thing something else goes wrong with it.....Im just stumped and shocked at the same time ### i want to find out how it happened i mean it shouldnt have happend like the way it did....could the flywheel have caused that kind of damage? and another thing why would my clutch peddle go to the floor also?

Possibly bolts backing out of the pressure plate. Sounds like it's time to drop the trans and see what's not going on in there.

i had the same problem. what started it all was the clutch let go...and becuz of that for some reason it tore up the inside of the tranny. drop it and eliminate your possibilities

that same thing happened to me. i haven't token the tranny apart but im guessing its the clutch.so im not aware of any damage to the tranny.

Now I'm glad I put thread locker on those pressure plate bolts!
