to just sum it up, i just got the engine running corectly today after i had just bought a used(70000mile) bottom end for it. its all completely stock. ok now the bad news... my sis and i took the car around the block and boosted it alittle :sneaky:,nothing over 4000rpm just to be safe everything seeemed fine... a few hours later we take it for a more heavy run and ran it though 1st and second gear(autotrans) and as we came to the stop sign we heard a loud ticking athough it still ran good. my problem is i don't have a clue to what is ticking(lifter???rod???trans???). i just need a tip in the right direction as to were to start looking. thanks.
I hope its nothing major because i need to get it back and running ASAP.

P.S it a 95 eagle talon TSI AWD auto.

It really could be anything. You need to open up your hood and see if you can at least give us a general area from where its coming from and then we can help you from there. If you need to, use a wooden dowel and pin point the spot. Sorry I can not be anymore help, but this is just too broad of a question.

Uh yea it was just that stupid little plate under the engine by the trans that was scraping the flexplate and torque converter and so i just bent it way back and now it runs great.

NO TICKING LOL :talon:
