I picked up a new daily driver S2000

I finally got some of my own pictures. This car is really clean. I don't think it had ever been driven in the rain until I got it. It has 27k miles.

Only thing I might be doing soon is a light window tint.

Nice car. The only thing I don't like is the red interior, I prefer the black and red interior or the all black interior.

How much did you pay for it?

I've always liked the silver and red or the black and red combination. The all black interior does look good but I think it might be too hot with the top down.

Sweet, those cars are awesome. I acctually just picked up a new DD an 03 Evo.

Thanks man. I was looking at Evos too but I couldn't find anything decent <$25k.

I would have held out or man'd up for the Evo.

Nah, I already have a DSM. And I would have wanted at least an evo IX. And after the Sentra no more 4 door until I have kids, which should be never. :p

I've seen the 2jz and LS1 S2000s. They look like fun for sure.

Tom, what's wrong with pornstar interior? It feels good with no clothes on said the redhead who liked it cause it matches her hair. True story LOL I wasn't sure at first but it's growing on me.

first of all, congrats on the swoop. but i have to say, hondas are piles of trash and i would never own one, even the s2000.

now go join s2ki, but try not to spend too much money :). personally, i think its a fun car, but its really overrated. the car is begging for more power. great corner carver though, ill give it that much. im also not a big fan of the sebring silver, but i do like the porno red interior.

btw, welcome to the s2000 community! glad to see another dsm owner with one

heres my s2ghey

Haha! You had me going. I like the RPF1s on there. What's with the AP2 bumper in the first pic?

the first pic is probably the most recent pic i have of the car. i went with a ap2 front end because i wasnt feeling the ap1 front, plus i loved the apr lip they made for the ap2 bumper. so i bought a brand new ap2 bumper, and had the emblem holes shaved, and ordered the apr lip, but it ended up never coming :(

That sucks. Without the lip I like the AP2 bumper better, with the lip I like the AP1 better. I don't like how the lip on the newer one extends up on the sides almost looking like something aftermarket.

None the less the car looks great.

Great choice! I love mine! Best DD I have ever had. Couldn't imagine dailying anything else. It is my only car now though since I traded my GST for a GSXR 600 last fall.
Older post I know but you on S2KI now by chance?
The S does need more power to feel fast but it is still pretty quick. The best part about the car is just the feel of it. Never driven a car that felt soo good to drive.
I have gears and countless other bolt ons, but will supercharge it shortly and then I will be even more thrilled by it.
Got 114K on mine and it's an '01. Not a single issue to date. Not even clutch or shocks or anything. Just tires, pads, fluids.. Drive it hard daily too.
Great car!

Those cars provide one of the best driving experiences you'll ever have. I have driven porsches, ferraris, astons, and a lambo.

But, Honda engineering, especially in this car... Is amazing.

Glad you enjoyed the driving experience, they are gorgeous cars, but I hated they way they drove.

Ok, you guys do realize this thread is over a year old right?

What does it matter if it is old...?

Never mind I didn't think you knew it was old, I missed the part in your first post where you said "Older post I know but you on S2KI now by chance?"

Hopefully he still uses DSMtuners

Edit - Yeah he does, last post date was 8/7/09

OMG I hated that car. We had one at the dealership that I sold for and I beat the holy hell out of it. It drove nice and fine but im only 5'10 and I felt like a 8' giant in it. The drivers compartment is so small and my head was over the windshield.

I dont hate it per say like when I see a slobalt ss It wasn't for me.

It was a fun car for sure. I did not like daily driving it though.

I sold the car about 3 weeks ago after I picked up a new daily driver.

Ah ok. Yeah after driving my S, it was going to be my weekend car I just never wanted to get back into my eclipse so it just sat there for months until I finally traded it for a bike. I wanted to like driving the eclipse still since it was much faster with all the mods and all but just was too uncomfortable to drive regularly and did not feel nice in comparison.
I still sometimes want to have a stripped GSX or something built up.
Cheapest car by far to make fast. S2000 takes lots of cash to make fast and only way to really make it fast is by going FI with it.
