Alright, I need suggestions on how to trouble shoot this.
I did a balance shaft removal, and a timing belt replacement.
BS removal went smoothly, did it the 'free' way, nothing worth mentioning.
Put everything back together, and am now attempting to put the timing belt on.
I have new OEM-
Timing belt
Idler Pulley
Tensioner
Tensioner Pulley
I set all of the marks to line up properly, (ALL marks are correct, cam dowl pins are at 12 o clock and marks straight across) put on the timing belt and the proper amount of tension.
I then rotate the crankshaft about 30-40% clockwise. It then STOPS firmly. The spark plugs are out, so it's not compression. And it's not just valvesprings, it's a very solid stop. Feels like something gets jammed.
I rotate it ~80% counter clockwise, and it does the same thing.
Probably after the 3'rd attempt, I got upset, and forced it. The timing probably jumped 2 or so teeth, however, after that it rotated smoothly all around.
Whenever I line all the marks back up correctly, and attempt to rotate the crank again, the same thing happens.
I've done the timing belt procedure LITERALLY six times. Hoping I was doing something wrong. The problem is the same EVERY time.
Someone help. =/
