I need help with evoscan....PLEASE

I have just spent the last I dont know how long on this web site trying to log into it just so i can buy evoscan and the cable. My question is can I just get any usb obd2 cable and the software or does it have to be a certain cable that i can not seem to buy from them or even do anything on that web site. Any kind of info will help me out alot/ Thanks

i used a cheap VAGCOM Examples cable.. the USB - ODB wire.. have to install the drivers but it works.. got mine from some website and ordered the second one from ebay.. works like a charm, but i must say if i were you id get the Openport 2.0 cable at least that way you can use evo scan and if you decide to tune a little you can get stuff like ceddy mods and ECU flash if your ecu is flashable
