Echo'd. I used to be interested in this possibility, until I realized it was way easier to just buy a cheap RWD chassis to start with. Biggest concern for me was the amplified power output to the rear. In AWD format, the power is distributed between the front and rear wheels. Without the front, 100% of the power goes to the rear, and the stock differentials are not capable of withstanding this power. There are stories of people blowing the stock rear differentials at 300hp doing this conversion. The proper way to do it would be to swap in a 3000gt rear end, but the rear subframe mounting solution for that differential is pricey.Well.... hopefully you have an LSD rear diff to start with.... It isn't the greatest for drifting, but whatever. You would need to have the transmission taken apart, have the center differential welded first. Then regarding the front axles, you will need to put dummy cups in the front hubs so they don't separate on you, and then with the trans at the front diff you could remove the front diff and ring gear, keep the output pinion shaft installed and remove the axle seals and then do a 54mm freeze plug for the left axle, and 56mm for right axle to fit in the case and seal them up.
Just remember, if you intend on putting any real power through this, you better be upgrading some of the components, like the output shaft, driveshaft, rear axles, rear diff cover, rear diff mounting components, rear subframe to diff bushings, etc.
