hey im looking into getting a boost controller. should i also be looking at getting a boost gauge? (a real one, not the shitty stock one) right now i have an evo 3 16g in there and im wondering what a safe boost to run is? whats stock? 15lbs? also theres a bit of an issue when boosting sometimes, around 4500-5000 its almost like the waste gate is sticking or maybe not enough fuel being injected? the car kinda stutters when it happens (not a smooth boost) thanks!

definitely get a boost gauge, why do you have a 16g without one?!? in regard to the boost controller...why do you have a 16g without one?!? seriously, these should be the first things you buy...

1. do a boost leak test (if you haven't already)
2. possibly plugs/wires
3. it might even be the boost level itself (perhaps it's over-boosting/boost creep)
4. else, get the parts mentioned above and we'll be able to evaluate the problem further (really you should do this first...)

thanks for the tips. i dont have a boost gauge or controller yet cause i just bought the car a month ago with the turbo already in it, so i dont so much mind the guy b4 paying for the turbo if all i have to do is get a gauge and controller.
