I recently had a 14b on my car with all the supporting mods for a big 16g.Before i put my intercooler i had no boosting problems whatsoever!THEN...I install my front mount w/ short route piping! here is where the problem starts.....1st my boost spikes really bad which im sure its from the intercooler being so big...and the turbo is so small, but from a 40 kick it would spike to 18 psi and fall off to 15 and when i shift to third it would slap 22 psi and hit full cut every time!! i have a joe p mbc and i back it all the way out to run the least amount of boost but it dont help still runs high boost!,so i try looping the wastegate to see if it runs the 7 psi that its supposed to...but it doesnt it runs 17psi....SO...I throw a friend of mines big 16g on that performs perfect for him,but when i put it on my car, I cant get under 30 psi out of it!!! we have tried everything 1st...we try a different actuator still 30 psi.....then we take the hose off the wastegate to see if it runs 7psi....nope still 30....finally we take the whole actuator off the flapper itself,so now it should read zero boost...i hit 10 psi at the top of 2nd so something is really wrong with this picture and i nor anybody else that has been working on this knows what the problem could be. If any body knows what could possibly be wrong let me know please.........im sorry this is so long...thanks in advance!!!!!!!! OMG WTF

Is your boost controller broken, you seem to have tested all of the things that could maybe say it was the actuator for the wastegate or something wrong with the lines to the wastegate. That is the only other thing that would really make uncontrollable boost like that. Try hooking your MBC up to a pressurized shop air source and test to see if it even can meter the air, or maybe you hooked it up backwards, mistakes can be made. Try that stuff and let me know what happens. :thumb:

skip the MBC and hook the vacuum line directly to the gate and tell us the results

the boost controller works fine we put two different bosst controllers on to see and nothing changed so we put them on a buddy of mines car and they worked fine. and no i dont think i put it on wrong.but i dont think it has nothing to do with vaccum lines because for me to be able to make 10psi with NO actuator when it shouldnt see no boost what so ever that should tell you something there wouldnt u think???

Are you sure you're talking about boost spike and not boost creep? The only thing I can think of is that not enough pressure is being presented to the actuator. Check your pressure source and perform a complete boost leak test, a leak test should always be perform after any type of work done to the intake tract. Good luck.
