I'm trying to figure out if their is suppose to be a gap approximately 1mm wide. In between the front cover and the block. Right below the oil pump in that corner. I'm working on my pan because of a leak. That crack might be where it's leaking from. So can someone verify if it's suppose to be there or not.

Thanks!

From that pic is does look a little strange. I would pull that thing off check everything over real good and see if there is anything causing it. If not cleaned it up good regasket it and see what you got.

I think I'm just going to put the pan back on and see if it leaks. I'm not to hyped about taking that front cover off:|

The front case gasket should be filling that gap. If not, clean the gap with brake cleaner and try to get the oil out of it. Once dry, pump some gray rtv into the gap and try to fill it before you reinstall the pan.

I personally would pull the front of the engine down and inspect it but my above directions should help on a shortcut.

A shortcut is exactly what I need I'll give that a try. Thanks man!

Studded oil pan. I'm definitely going to be doing that next build.

But yeah, that's not right.
