I bought some used guages (boost, and a/f ratio) in a pod for my talon.. it is complete with everything except the "the plastic line goes from a vacuum sorce on the engine " the seller said.. does anyone know what this is? where can i get one and how much.. does anyopne have a new or used one for sale they would hook me with? let me know.. what does this do?

You can find that type of plastic tubing (1/8" ID i think) at Home Depot in the plumbing dept. they have a whole section in the isle for compression fittings and spools of tubing. If not there goto your local Speed shop if you have one close and buy a few feet of tubing there..

try o'reillys or any part store sells gauge tubing kits w/ the plastic tube and some fittings. ~$5

what function does it serve and where does it hook up? on the guages and in the engine somewherE?

it's suppose to connect the gauge to what you're trying to read, the amount of boost. It's like you have a phone, and a phone jack. You need a cord to be able to use it.
