ive been trying to figure out why my hazards dont work. Its not a fuse, its not the switch, its not the turn signal switch, its not the flasher relay. All my fuses are good, even the one under the hood. I've tried 10 switches, still no good. I did however do a clutch pedal assembly swap, but I haven't found any connectors that aren't hooked up. I replaced all the bulbs as well.

I've been reading and studying wiring schematics for a 90, and i haven't found a good reason why they dont work. I'm thinking its a problem from the ignition switch to the hazard switch, but haven't found any indication to why it shouldn't work. Ive put so many hours to get nowhere with it, I'm about to take it to a professional.

There is one theory I'm pondering though, the schematics show that the stop light switch has something to do with the hazards, just dont know how to test it. Any ideas?

Take it to a mechanic? WTF. How often do you use your hazards. Just leave them broken.

you kinda need hazards for NYS inspection. And I hate things that are broken on my car and like to have it fixed. I've never taken my car to an electrician/mechanic for anything, i can do everything myself. But this one is killing me.

I would start testing with a multimeter, starting at the switch and then every connector that's part of the circuit to see where the power stops.

I am the best electrician in the WORLD!

OMFG, i found the problem and i cant freakin believe that was it. A previous owner had an alarm system in it and spliced all sorts of wires under the fuse box under the hood. I never looked there except today. I found a 2 stray wires, 1 of them was buried in the huge wiring harness for the fuse box (has like 60000 wires in it), i jumped the 2 together and sure enough my hazards work.

After long sleepless nights, about 100 bucks in replacement parts, and almost buying a rolling chassis without electrical problems (j/k), I fixed it. Couldn't be happier.
