As the title says I am going to run 10:1 compression. I know that I will need a some nice tuning to make this work for more than five days. I plan on using a progressive controlled alky injection kit along with constantly running 101 octane ( there is a place here in town that has it at the pump). I have a huge FMIC also. Would this be enough to run 10:1 compression without having enough knock that i answer the motor?

Why are you set on 10:1?

9:1 is the highest I would go on a street motor. It will make tunning harder, if you get bad gas or end up at a pump that only has low octane you may run into problems.

ok, so with what i was talking about 9:1 would run just fine?

Why would you think that you will need 10.0-1 compression to run anything, shit stock 7.8-1 will work just fine, you don't need 10.0-1 compression, in my reccomendation since you don't know that it is to high, you are going to have a hell of a time tuning that thing. Just go with the 8.5's or 9.0's that will be perfect.

First things first... what kind of goals are you planning to have that you would need this high of a compression motor? Two, how did you come up with the 10:1 compression figure? Three, you need to be more specific with your questions. What are you going to tune with? If you plan on using anything but the AEM EMS or microtech for tuning, then you need to change your compression goals immediately. What turbo are you trying to run? Are you wanting to build a 2.0, 2.3 stroker, or 2.4L? Like I said, be more specific.
