Ok this is the first time I have asked for help with a car issue Im having in a VERY looong time.

Car: 1996 Eagle Talon Tsi AWD
Mods: UICP, LICP, Greddy CBV, Cone filter, and free mods.
Symptom: Clutch pedal is VERY soft at very random times.
History: Both clutch master and slave have been replaced, as well as fluid replaced and system bled MANY times.

Im at a loss here as I have replaced the parts that normally cause this. It is very random and I cant for the life of me track the issue down. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Sounds like you may have air in the system still. Make sure youre bleeding the clutch line correctly.

Ive bleed many clutch and brake systesm in my day, and its been done so many times its getting old. Ill try it once more, but I dont think thats the issue.

I had a guy who "made his living" bleed the brakes in front of me and he just waited for it to stop going PST! when he opened the valve. It was a school project car and we almost didn't pass tech because our brakes couldn't lock up the tires. Took it apart and sure enough there were a ton of bubbles in the line.

Just to make sure, are you using a clear cup of fluid and doing it until it stops making bubbles? Making sure the fluid isn't dropping below the fill level? I'm definitely not questioning your skills, but it's good to have the procedure you're using outlined so we can determine if it's you or if it's your equipment.

Yeah I have 3 people when I bleed it. One person pressing the clutch me on the bleeder, and someone adding fluid. Im going to flush the entire system out on friday and see if that changes things.

Have you measured the play of the crank? How new is the clutch? Are you sure there are not leaks in the clutch line?

Im sure there arent any leaks (but as always cant be 100% unless you use an adative and check). The cluth and endplay I dont know anything really about as I just bought the car back in august.

Have you checked the ghost pedal thing on here? http://www.roadraceengineering.com/clutchandflywheeltech.htm Maybe the pump up thing too.
