I went down the HX35 route over the winter, and I couldn't be happier at this point. I overhauled everything I could think of, and now I'm left with just a few quick questions about the setup.

I've been researching about oil feed for HX35's (oil filter housing or from the head). I have an aftermarket OFH with the ported valve, and that's where my feed is from at the moment. I'm running an external oil cooler, stainless steel lines, earls in-line oil filter, and a restrictor that Slowboy Racing hooked me up with after tons of searching.

I know the restrictor can manage volume into the turbo, but will it be able to restrict the pressure to the levels that I need? From what I've come across, the issue is almost a toss up. I've seen pictures of it ran from the filter housing as well as ones with the feed from the head. I'd jus much rather be safe than sorry in this case. Way too much money invested.

I'm basically in search of a definite answer. If one exists, I'd be more than grateful if someone was willing to share. Or if anyone has any experiences running an HX35 off of the OFH or anything along those lines.

And ofcourse, I couldn't leave you all without a picture. Ignore my makeshift hood prop and all the mess. This was basically the test-fit phase to see how everything bolted up. I'll have to get some new pics when I head to the garage today.

You really should just use an oil pressure gauge and find out. I gather you don't have an oil pressure gauge. If you have a fuel pressure gauge you can just use that to check your oil pressure with a T and fittings. Use a cap when you're, so you can easily check your oil pressure again. You can be in neutral and free revving the engine to see approximately where your oil pressure will be at spool and up top and idle. . .

Once warm, Holsets require:
1. no more than 72 psi
2. 30psi minimum under load (spoolup rpms and beyond)
3. 10psi minimum at idle

Infact, I actually do have an oil pressure gauge ran off of the housing in the car, I just wasn't exactly positive on the specs and requirents of the HX35 yet. However, I believe you pretty much covered it all in your post. I have no further questions.

Thanks for the advice, that helps a lot!
