HVAC bulbs

1998 GSX .. I have 12 #74 bulbs I understand how to change the cluster gauge colors but i dont understand how to change the HVAC??? Can i jus reach through the air vents above and change the bulb??? and if so The new bulbs are blue.. Does the HVAC have that amber filter or is that just the gauges???

when took mine off it was just an non filtered incandescent bulb(very small) and replace it with an blue LED. i don't really remember the bulb it self but i think it the same as the larger bulbs as on the gauge could be wrong. remove the radio shroud and reach to the back of the HVAC Controller and u should feel the holder for the bulb there is only one for the HVAC, turn it counter clockwise and pull it out.

There is no filter through the Hvac shroud, 96_killer's right in saying to take out the radio and reach behind, and theres only one bulb, but yeah the filter for the light is clear so if your changing to a blue led then the whole unit should light up blue, let me warn you that if you change your actual gauge lights to blue there gonna be hard as hell to see at night, i remember that about my buddies eclipse, good luck
