HVAC Problem

I have a 99 eclipse 420a and I am having trouble getting my windshield to defrost. My heater blows nice and hot, but my front defrost is like an asthmatic blowing through a straw, barely defogs the windshield, let alone de-ice it. I know it is probably a problem with the defrost door or its actuator, so my question is am I going to have to pull the whole dash out to fix this? Is this common on these cars? Also, I can't find the door or actuator on ebay or any other site, am I calling it by its right name? Sorry for the n00b question, I usually use DSMtalk, but this site seems to have more threads about HVAC than that one.

not sure if its a common problem but on most cars in order to fix the door you have to replace the heater box itself .
