2G Hunting idle/high idle

1999 gst, I've been having a idle issue for a while, a couple months ago my idle would hunt and run high but if I just disconnected the battery for a whle to clear the code it would go away. Now it isn't

I get a code for the TPS and IAC, I have replaced the iac twice and the tps once, the TB has been cleaned three times and the tps adjusted many times.


My mechanic said I should replace the TB as a whole, what do you guys think?

It's throwing codes for your iac and tps? Did you replace with new ones or junk yard?
Did you test to see if they are bad? And maybe there's a boost leak causing idle issues?

It is throwing two codes

1. For the tps, tps was replaced as OEM part, used from a local company

2. IAC which has been replaced with a autozone one then a carquest one.

I have no boost leaks expect from the Biss screw which is very very small.



I have noticed if I'm rolling along in the car doesn't matter the speed, the idle jumps from 1k-1800k, but when I come to a complete stop the idle is a little more steady and just idles a little high around 1400k-1500k

just because you have a code for those sensors doesn't always mean there bad . you have to check your wiring to the sensors and make sure the proper voltage and grounds are there .

Thanks, I'll check the wires, I took a look at the link and I'll go down the list... I have noticed my cruise control stopped working one day. It doesn't come on. Do all models have a FIAV?
