Non-turbo throttle body is better. It's much bigger.

Must be nice to be able to throw around $15k.

thats a ton of money involved. and ive heard the venom is garbage. If you have that much money to put into your car...why not just fricken buy a GSX, then u have turbo and awd, and faster then that 15k setup you plan on throwing into your non turbo engine....just my opinion

i own both a non turbo and turbo...so i would know

sounds like a pretty good list, dont let these turbo guys get u down u got a good set up there and if u got the money go for it, if i had that much money to spend i would do it to but i want a turbo so im saving for the TSI turbo kit.....good luck.
:dsm:

hey guys, i appriciate your opinions and help i didnt no much on the venom intake and putting this kinda money into the car i want the best and thanks for the info on the throttlw body too, i know to buy a turbo car would be cheaper but im buying a 92 talon tsi awd in december so i will have the best of both worlds thats why im going to biuld this on and then biuld my talon later when i get it, thanks again guys, and just to let you guys know im not a young rich snob LOL i didnt want yall to get that impression, i am working for my grandfather for this so im earning it LOL, any more info would be great, thanks

I'm not the best with cars, but are you planning to go turbo? cause if you are, then i heard the lower the compression, the more boost... so 11:1 would be your best bet.. I dont know too much, but i think i'm right on that one.. :thumb:

hey, naw im not going to turbo charge, if i were then i would prolly do a 9:1 compression, but i think im going to go 12:1 for more power out of this all motor setup, im going to buy a 92 talon tsi turbocharged and awd in december so i will have both all motor and turbo

your crazy man, i wish i had money for a new set of rims, and your gona through down a few thousend for 2 cars that are the same thing? Props for you on liking dsms so much but maybe spend your money alittle wiser...:thumb:

man you would have to know me to know why im doing this LOL, i just love dsm's man, the style, the performance potenial, fun and speed has its price somtimes its just really large LOL thats why im working my ass off for it, i know i could get a really nice car for this kinda money but im not going to do that till i get out of college, going to wyotech and open my own shop for tuners, also after i get done with college im going to get an 94 240sx and really tune it, im not like spoiled or anything believe me im working my ass off for this so you know what i mean LOL, does anyone have pics of there engines i can see, i wanna see what kinda nice setups there are out there, thanks guys

hey sorry about all the same post, my computer went retarted LOL, but both pics would be kewl man, i love checkin out others engine setups, or hell any car setups period, cars are my life man, you could never learn to much about them, thanks:thumb:

wow a quad post, don't see those too often  , i'll fix that.

suonds like an interesting setup. but definitely stick with the nt throttle body over the turbo, don't mix the hks cams, go all 272 with all the other stuff you're putting in there.

don't spend the money on arp exhaust studs, they're pointless really. so long as your head isn't stripped out simple stainless bolts from a hardware store in the right size and thread pitch will work perfectly and won't rust up on you.

if you get the venom 400 chip i'll beat you senseless with it, do a search on this part and find out what it really does.

don't use the turbo injectors unless you intend to wire up the injector resistor pack along with it. instead just get some high impedance fuel injectors from an aftermarket company like RC.

don't get the engine rebuild kit from mach v if you're going to use the stroker setup, although personally i'd go with a high compression 2.0 liter with crower springs and retainers and wind it out to about 9000rpm.

don't get the aem fuel rail or adjustable fuel pressure regulator, just get the 190lph fuel pump and use your stock setup. then get the stevetek fuel setup so you can have braided line the whole way if you really want to still drop a bunch of money on the fuel setup.

as for headers you might want to check and see if chikara, hedman, or archer racing still have any around.

i was looking at the hedman headers and the rc injectors, but the smalled injectors i can find after market are 440 so i think im going to go with that, what wrong witht he venom 400 chip, i thought it was pretty good. i was also looking around at the valve springs and i thought the dual valve springs were better, but if crower is better than i will go with them, like i said i appriciate all your guys info, it helps me out alot. thanks

here is a picture of my engine bay,... i also love my dsm even though its a non turbo and in my opinion ive already put way to much money in it,... but it was all worth it:thumb:

DAMN!!! thats a clean setup, i like that, what headers are those, pace setters? hard to tell because of the black paint and glare, very nice though

actually that looks alot like the stock manifold if i'm not mistaken.

it is the stock manifold, i thought it looked ugly so one day i painted it with some 1200 dagree paint, iam still saving for headers

dont u get bad idle with out the intake can? I once removed mine so the filter droped down abit like 3 inches under the level it should be with the can and then I had bad idle. After I put the can back everithing was as normal as it should be.

i've never heard anything like that before.

I duno man it was wierd to me too  I was thinking that with the can it gets some kind of ground or if the sensor is at some degree will not read right or someting like that? What u think about it???

nothing is grounded through it, and the mas should work fine no matter what angle its at. without seeing exactly what the car is doing i have no idea what was causing your problem at all.

Heated air, caused by engine heat.

yes the air might be a little warmer, but i drove my nt like that for over 2 years and had absolutely no issues with it such as he's describing.

ya, i know exactly what your talken about, when i first took off the can my idle would slowly go up from normal 900rpm to alomst 2000rpm especially on a hot day. when ide lift the hood and felt the filter it was very hot to the tuch, so i made a heat shield for it out of sheet metal and ive never had the problum sence. The filter stays cool to the tuch, even after driving for a few hours :thumb:
