First this will start with a 4.21 full marmon flange off the turbo, then go into a 3.5" tube and the last can will be a 3.5"-3" reducer with a v band flange welded to the end to meet up with the downpipe i have on the car now.
Thoughts opinions?

I'm thirsty now. Looks like a lot of cutting and welding LOL.
Where do you plan on getting 3.5" mandrel bends? I plan on doing a 3.5" turbo back and I'm having trouble finding the mandrels.

Thankfully there is not going to be as many pie cuts in it, from what i figured im going to need to cut something a little bigger than a 90* then a 45* thats going to rotate backwards a little, a straight, a 45* then a reducer.
I ordered my 3.5" 180* from racepartsolutions, they have pretty good prices on exhaust parts, my only advice is to write everything you need down then call them to make sure they have them instock, both my borg warner flange and my u bend were back ordered for a week and a half, not much to some but im impatient i would have paid 50 bucks more from someone else that was able to get it out to me faster since i was off work last week

I agree 100%... I would much rather pay more to get it when I want it...
OH, It looks like your on the right path... I'm doing all of my intercooler 3" piping with all V-Band flanges from scratch right now, and you just gave me an idea...

Vband intercooler piping huh? thats not a bad idea i might have to try that, the only thing im unsure about is if the vbands would leak from the positive pressure, but i do believe they make gaskets for vbands also so id look into that.
The cans do work but it is time consuming, if i did it again or on a regular basis i think id just go to home depot and get hvac pipe with already made 45's and what not

Why 3.5'' ?? Is your alternator relocated? If not your going to have a hell of a time fitting that bend between the turbine housing and alternator.. I just made my own 3" downpipe and Im less than half an inch away from my alternator.. Just something to think about.

I'm doing 3.5 cause the Borg Warner flange wouldn't allow a 3" pipe unless I flared the pipe or filled the crap out of it when I welded, I would have much rather used 3" and a traditional vband but that would have added cost (around $80) to have the flange cut off my turbo and have a vband welded on, it is def going to be a tight fit but with a little work I'm sure I'll be able to get it, your thread is actually what I got most of my ideas from.

Crash also looking over you pictures again it seems my manifold places my turbo an inch or so further to the passengers side of the car

Oh, well alright then! Shouldnt be a problem.. Cant wait to see some pics!

Im hoping not, if that doesnt look like it would work i could always change the way it comes out so instead of having it wrap towards the front have it angle out more towards the engine as i have a forward facing oil filter housing, but thats just off of memory so im not positive that would work.
Mine should be alot like yours though, im just going to use a mig welder, and have only welded pipe a handful of times
