Well, I bought a 2g. Compression reads: 110, 90, 60, 40. (Looking from the passenger side to the driver side.

So I ripped off the timing cover to check it out. Before I rip the engine out, can anyone tell me if my timing it off? The cam gears, oil pump and balance shaft are all easy enough to read, but not the crank.

What do you guys think of the following.

I bought a used 7 bolt for $375 bucks today with 100,000 miles. Supposedly it has perfect compression still.

I'll probably rebuild this one while I buy some time on the new used motor.

Fun times
