I've been lookin into the 2.2 stroker, but my question is lets say you run 25 psi on it and have your car tuned, what do you think the estimated horsepower will be?

This is such a general question no one could answer. We need more details. Like turbo size, fuel management, you know, all that good stuff.

You are limited by the size of the fuel injectors, and the fact that you will be running the FMU that comes with the Star kit.

I would guestimate that you can get 250whp with that setup. THATS JUAT A GUESS.

If you want more power after that, I would suggest and 034EIC 8 injector setup or the Megasquirt.

yea i know LOL 25 psi without the proper fuel can lead to

but with proper tuning of the s-fmu and the s-afcII, and having 450cc injectors, it should be able to handle 25 psi....thats also with a built head

You can only go so far as far as injector sizing and the SFMU. You will get to a point where you cannot get the idle fuel pressures low enough to get good idle characteristics with the large injectors.
The S-AFC should onle be used as a FINE tuning tool after all other tuning has been taken care of. They are not AS useful of a tuning tool as they are on other cars that they were designed for. Too much variation percentage-wise on the S-AFC from 0, can lead to deadly timing advance.

Everyone who wants good hp numbers is going to the 8 injector setup or the Megasquirt.

what is the 8 injector set up? Also if you where to run the howell Performance Master Engine Rebuild Kit DOHC 2.2 dose your block need to be sleeved or is just boring it sufficient? i ask because i am rebuilding my engine with this kit and don't want issues with high boost BTW i will be running a HRC2 kit with the 2.2 stroke thanks for any help. :thumb:

Sleeving is usually for those honda boyz with there tin blocks (aluminum). Us cast iron boyz dont' usually have to worry about that, but you could keep asking around to see if such I high horsepower applicatoin would need that. I don't think it would imo.

As for the 8 injector set up. You definatley need to go back to the hahn website and read the entire thing. I've read the whole site by now, and I went with the star stage 2 kit, but they have so much information that its hard not to read everything.
Anyways this should point you in the right direction.

Anyways good luck on your rebuild.

howell automotive..........

huge letdown IMO. i ordered a master 420a rebuild kit for my cousin in jan 05. it wasnt until june that it came in, and it was missing a few things, so i had to wait another month for more parts.

you would think spending 2500 would put you on their radar, or at least a priority or to do list. but they treated 2500 bucks like you just ordered something as trivial as a boost gauge from them. not cool. when i drop almost 3g's at a shop, i expect something more than the run around, talk to this guy, talk to that guy, lemme call you back, yadda yadda.

sadly for my cousin, the 6 month wait for parts is half the story, hes also waited 4 months for the shop rebuilding it to finish it, but good thing, is only thing we have to do is drop the motor in, reinstall all the little misc. crap, and turn the key.
