I raced a 92 eagle talonTSI AWD today , Automatic , no mods.

I have a 98 GSX , automatic,full catback exaust,new K&N filter .

Yet he beat me each time by a car length. How? Im thinking its the spark plugs because when i was flooring it my car was going no where ...fast. Haha.

I just ran 18psi on my T25 when I had it...seemed fine never hit fuel cut and then I got the MBC and turned it down to 16. But when you run 18 it only hits it for a short amount of time and then falls of to 13 and then 10 in higher rpms...so whatever.

Actually dont even do that if you just leave it you could probably sell it for 100-200 bucks...I sold mine for 100 and shit every DSMer needs money right?

and most importantly his BOV wouldnt be able to take it, duh:D

1st off, the 1g is much lighter. That makes a major difference. 2nd, better turbo. What was he pushing for boost? The spark plug could have been part of it, but he will probably still at least keep up with you.

I've never done it on my car, but I did it on my old v8, there's a special tool you replace with on eof the spark plugs, then you crank the engine just a few times and do that on each cylnder. You are looking for differences and also comparing your numbers to what they should be.

The compression tester is about 30-40 at an auto parts store for a good one. Take all the sprak plugs out, turn the engine over with the starter 10 revolutions(or untill the guage on the tester no longer moves), and read it. All cyls should be within 5% of each other, and within 10% of OEM.
