Storm Lake,
I recently remove my stock turbo spoiler and I found out there was three holes left on my car. How can I fix this problem, can I do it myself or I need to take it to the body shop for them to shave the holes out. I would rather do it myself to save money but if there isn't another way then I will settle with the body shop.
Thanks guys! :dsm: :thumb: :dsm:

I mistakingly bought the 15lb solenoids......not strong enough. At least for my doors anyway....oh well, i'm just not gonna do it now....its too cold and i don't feel like messing with it anymore.

I have the solenoids and everything installed but, my question is: what isthe best way to fill-in where the handle was? will it be better to fiberglass over where the handle was or cut a piece of metal and pop rivet it in place? I don't have a spot welder so that's not an option.

Cut a piece of metal to fit, borrow someones welder and weld it in. I guess if you can rivit it in, is just as well I suppose. Then mud over it. If you just fill it in with fiberglass or bondo its more likely to crack.

If you've never welded thin sheetmetal before, then you should do some practicing before you weld on your car. It's very easy to warp the material. Use very small "spot"welds, overlapping every previous weld with the new one. Don't weld in the same area for too long, usually a half of an inch to an inch at a time, then let it cool. If you cut the filler material correctly and weld it properly, you will need a very minimal amount of body filler. Once a panel is warped it's a bi*** to get it back to normal, so just be careful.
