how to replace my stock maf?

ok so i was going to replace my stock maf with a 2g one but then i need to get a pipe also so i was looking at the injen one its the only one i saw that looks like it would actually fit the new square sensor but its pricey so what better using a 2nd gen maf with that pipe or getting one of those gm maf?

Well the GM MAF is better but it requires a MAF-Translator in order to work. It also requires a hard UICP if you want to run blow-through.

As far as intake pipes for a 2g MAS, Dejon Powerhouse sells them or you can always find cheaper ones on ebay. Here is a review of a $48 ebay pipe here on dsmtuners.

Personally, If you are dead set on upgrading, or your 1g mas is broken, I would go with the GM MAF/MAF-T combo in blow-through.

I would ditch it and go speed density. By the time you're done getting a MAFT or a chip for 2g mas you could be running link or jackal. Mass air sensors are a huge pain in the rear, no matter blow or draw through.
