How to reattach a rear defroster tab???

Recently while switching out hatches (and moving the glass from one hatch to another) in my 2G talon, the rear defroster tab had come loose and fallen off. The tab is located on the window glass its self it appears the soder had just let go over time and with me removing the connecting wire and reattaching it. Has anyone had this problems before??

can it just be soddered back in place?
can i just JB weld it back to the window?

Really just need to know i go about reattaching it.

there is a repair kit sold in the parts stores for about $30 ( I scored one off ebay for $15)

its a little special, eletric currunt has to pass thu it.
jb weld will not work , or epoxy

I found two types, one for repairing the grid lines, (looked like a bottle of nail polish)but not the tabs. Is this one and the same? I also came across one with syringes a pad and rubber gloves.

which type of kit would i be looking for?? im thinking not the one for the grid lines.

I have successfully soldered those tabs back on. It was difficult because I did not remove the hatch. I pretty much soldered upside down, and it took awhile to get a good connection. It doesn't look pretty, but it works.

eiter one should work, it will not have the tabs, they differ from car maker to car maker.
it should say on the package if it is for reconnecting the tab

Any auto parts store should have a repair kit. I got one from Napa and it included the conductive epoxy for reattaching the pads and the stuff for repairing the lines. My car had purple tint on the rear window when i got it and I messed up the grid pretty bad taking it off. The repair kit worked great.

Is the tab broken off, or did it just come unglued from the glass? If the circuit's still intact, JB will work to hold the grid back on the glass but won't defrost where it's attached. Use the Kwik.
If the circuit's broken, you'll have to address that. Soldering usually doesn't work on defroster grids, and will often crack the glass near where it was tried.

the tab itself is in my hand as we speak it looks like the solder let go when i was playing with it and moving it from hatch to hatch. the tab its self is intact and the window has nothing wrong where the tab would attach it was a clean break. it can be re soldered like posted before just needed to know my options. i have jb weld that's why i was hoping i could just use that

Funny I recently just broke a tab in half. Think it is possible to resolder the 2 halves together?

The most accurate answer really is "maybe". They're not under much stress during use, so if you can get it to take solder -use flux- it might work. It'll be an iffy solder job, as too much heat will kill the adhesive holding the part on the window.

Thanks for that answer defiant, I havent been in a rush yet with summer weather, but once stuff starts foggin up I may need it! Winter driving is avoided though. I ll have to look at it and see what I can do.
