How to pick lock on eclipse

Well I locked my keys in the car and of course lost my second set. I think I remember a thread that people said you just pick the lock but I can't find it. I don't want to pay a locksmith or break a window. Help me.

get a stiff peice of plastic that is flat. Slid it right between the glass and the weather stripping. If you use a THIN peice you will not mess up your stripping.

I have done this myself and do not have any leaks with my window.

I would its just the car is at my school and isn't registered or inspected yet. I'm afraid they would notice.

On a 2G with its wonderful frameless windows, wedge the top open a little bit and run a coat hangar wire down to the electric door lock button. Put a piece of vacuum hose on the end so you don't scratch the button.

Thats what I ended up doing last night and it worked way too easily. It worries me how quick you can get into these cars.

Even investing about $500 in a great alarm, or even LO-JACK (SP) is a great idea!

Even a pager alarm wouldn't do much good unless you had it with at absolutely all times. I mean damn I could open the door, pop the hood, and cut the alarm line in 5 seconds or less. Lojack might be the only thing that would help recover it but only if the thief was dumb enough not to check for it.

I am leaning more toward a fuelpump cutoff switch. And if they go through the trouble of a flatbed....well......I guess I am shit out of luck!

Any sites you know of that have a vfaq for a fuel cutoff switch? Now that I know how easy it is I feel I need to make it as hard as I can for someone to steal my car.

And its not so much stealing the car, much more likely for all the electronics in the interior to get stolen.

I think im gonna start off with pager alarm and one of those removable steering wheels. I cant find any price on lojack. Anyone know what they go for ?

You guys are in luck! I'm buying an alarm and i'm getting a fuel pump cut off system. You all are familiar with the rewire trick...my dad is worried about keeping the stock fuel pump wiring safety features though. So he got his friend to draw a diagram of how we could add a relay with a safety barcode activater strip. So with running the bigger wire through a relay, you only use the extra amps when the fuel pump needs it. It's crazy confusing how they are planning to do it. But having a barcode strip that i can swip a one of a kind activator key across to turn it on and off will be nice.

My car, supposedly, won't let me lock the doors if the keys are in the ignition. I managed to do it once, though. Called AAA. The guy put a square shaped balloon between the weather stripping and the window, pumped some air into it, then, reached down with some home-style-fangled implement, and just flipped open my lock button.

Took him all of 35 seconds.

Pretty much makes the notion of security in these cars (or any cars, for that matter) a moot point.

Actually, I reposess for a living, this applies to pretty much any vehicle. You use a wedge to stick between the door, or window, then use the ballon which kind of reminds me of the blood pressure arm things, it pump and gaps the door or window, then you just reach in with the lock rod and pop it, doesn't take long at all. But like I said this is the same way for any vehicle, 25-45 seconds. :\ You can also buy these tools, if you want some lemme know. ":"

clifford alarms has this new thing called blackjack that is just as good as lojack, everytime u get in ur car u have to type a code if not u can drive the car for thirty seconds and then the alarm will go off and 30 seconds after that the car will stall and the injectors die and the car cannot be tampered with, also if u try to cut the keypad wires it activates the injector kill switch and then u cannot start it either, its a bad a$$ alarm but it cost $400 dollars but it works, it left me stranded once, one bad drawback is if the keypad goes pad ur STUCK...Until the car resets the alarm brain after 20 mintutes and then u get a new keypad, i know sounds freaking crazy and maybe im not explaining it enough but TRUST ME it works(.)

that clifford one is pretty good. My uncle put one on his SE-R when he came to FL. It has a car jack feature that is exactly that with the keypad. I think its a pain in the ass though because everytime a door is opened and closed the code has to be put in
