how to check transmission fluid on a 1g

my car has problems shifting gears...like i have to force it into gear..dunno whats wrong...plz help

im a newbie... :confused:
 
I assume you have a standard.

To check the transmission fluid level you should see a bolt on the front of the tranny pointing at the radiator. Pull that bolt out and put fluid in that hold until it runs back out.

If you don't know the last time the fluid was changed you should just drain the whole thing and refil. You fill it as described above.

Make sure you use a fluid that is good in the transmissions. Either that or get the additive from mitsu...but i suggest the good fluid.
