How much should a good ISC turn?

So I have pulled a few ISCs from a junkyard and all 3 have good coils. 2 have a small bit of movement about 1/4th turn. How much should a good ISC turn?

I am testing them with this method from v-faq

Oh its not moving in/out at all.

Ima go plug it into the ecu and see if it moves in/out at all if not I guess its a good thing these were free.

They will only move in/out when plugged in and you turn the key on then off. Should only twist a little when doing it by hand but not too much.

Yeah its not moving at all with it plugged in. I did the key on-off like in the video. Nothing. Guess it is time to hit up rock auto.

Agreed, they shouldnt turn 1/4th turn, just a little and only when plugged in. Try general maintnance on them too.
