How much power can the can a stock 98 gst engine and drivetrain handle before it needs to be upgraded?

Define upgraded. If you're talking about stock internals, some kid recently made 450 before his engine blew. Of course, he was trying to blow up his engine just to see how much he could get out of it.

I would say with all stock internals 400whp. That may be pushing it but I think the stock clutch can only handle about 300-350whp, but not to sure on that.
