55 shot is reffering to the jets, you should have a sticker in your bottle that tells you the weight empty and full. little bit of math and you have the size of your bottle. most come in 10 lb form although thier are 8 and 12 lb versions also. N2O usually costs about 3.50-4.50 a pound.

Check ATV/dirtbike pro shops. My local one sells it for $2.50/lb.
