how much gear fluid in 90 gst

ok i am changing the axles on my car about to put new ones in but i cant find anywhere how much gear oil to put in. and where do i put it in i found a breather on top is that where i fill?

NO, there is a plug on the front of the tranny that says OIL. Its not near you bellhousing.

Fill the hole with fluid until level with the fill hole, you'll see what im talking about, itll start dripping out. I usually go through 2 quarts of gear oil, but thats from being bone dry and flushed. So, go from there.

I thought a GST is a FWD car, thus you should be doing 75w90 GF-4 in there.

No, Redline mt-90 is where its at with my fwd

as long as it is GL-4 rated it will work good...but some oils like the MT-90 are highly recomended for dsm's
