How much does a 420a tranny weigh??

I need to know the weight of a transmission. It is a manual tranny from a 2G non-turbo.

not trying tp spread misinfo or anything, but I know it's more than the block, which is ~140lbs, but I doubt its much more than 200lbs. Friend of mine picked on up on his own and lifted it over his head when he moved it. It wasn't easy, but he guessed it was about 200 or so. Sorry I couldn't do better. If nobody knows, at least you have a ballpark estimate, right?

I honestly cant see it weighing that much. When I had my tranny done by Shep, I think it weighed in at 125lbs. I cant see a N/T tranny weighing almost 75lbs. more. Is it really that much larger and heavier??

140lbs for our block??? maybe with a head and all manifolds, and all pumps on it...

I got an automatic sitting on a skateboard in my yard barn from when I swapped for the manual, it weighs a lot more than the manual but I can weigh it for you if your really interested so you got some kind of idea of the weight range, let me know.

I know a complete motor w/ block, head, tranny, intake, exhaust, and the alternator weigh 530 lbs.

are you sure... I can pick up a full motor bymyself, and I'm not huge. If it is, I just got a whole new burst of confidence

If I had a scale, I'd weigh my trans... its sitting in my spare bedroom
