How much do you think this scrape would be to fix? (pics)

Edmonton,
My brother like grazed my car with his and it left this really light scraping of white paint.. Its not deep at all , and i've left it for a long time but now it's starting to rust a little bit. The stuff to the sides isnt scraped, its just that little rectangle.

[Max size for pics is 700x700 pixels.]

Just try touching it up then. BTW your car needs wax badly. Swirl marks are sad :(

Try buffing off the rest of the white paint also

yeah i know the amount of swirles is ridiculous , it doesnt look bad in person , it's just cause it was dark out and i used flash. I'm goiung to get the exterior professionaly waxed and stuff come spring

If it's just a small scrape (which it looks like) and isn't any form of a deep cut, I'd go to autozone, pick up a can of universal black (I believe it's made by dupont) and a multipack of sandpaper.

Start off with something like 400-600 Grit, and get it nice and smooth. Then put on a small coat. Wait about 30 min, and do another coat. Then get some 800 grit, and do the same thing. Then follow with 1000 grit, but only do 1 coat of black after that. Finally, get use some 1500 grit, and then put some rubbing compound on it. Should look good as new. I'd recommend when you sand though, you wet sand, as the particles are less likely to stick to the sandpaper, therefore giving you a better sand.

If it's got a deep cut in it get a small thing of putty and put in there, let it dry for about 1 hour, and sand and then follow the procedure for if it were just a scrape.

I've had to do this for my old Grand Am GT, and it turned out just fine.

--edit--

Heh, to get to the point though, if you did it this way, you could probably do it for about $20-25 at most.
