how much can the stock FPR hold?

ok i have a 1990 GST and im not keeping the car im just selling it in a couple weeks and i was wondering if the stock FPR can hold a 190 or 255 FP, 560 evo injectors and a 2nd gen maf?

I ran it with an RX-7 TT pump no probs. I went AFPR so i could increase my base pressure to run stock 450's.

No, i have read the you can only use up to a 190 pump without afpr. After that you need one.

In my experience, just about any fuelpump overruns the stock FPR to some extent. The bigger the pump, the higher the likelyhood it will overrun. Rewiring it makes it worse. If you only have 560cc injectors, a 190lph pump or the EVO 8 or 9 pump is plenty, non-rewired, and the EVO pumps are cheap used.

Its quite possible you will run rich with any upgrades to the fuel system. If you have some form of engine managemant you can combat the rich condition a little bit. Ultimatly your going to run into problems with the fuel filter/hose running to the fuel rail and you will have to upgrade some fuel lines and the fuel pressure regulator to keep enough fuel going to the injectors, if you keep adding modifications for more power.

From my experience, i was running really rich simply from re-wiring the fuel pump. Installing an EVO fuel pump will be about the same as a 190 or 255 lph pump, in regards to the factory fuel regulator limiting fuel pressure/flow to the injectors. Either way if you cant monitor or adjust the fuel pressure you will be rich. At least it wont be lean though! I ran mine pig rich for a year or so when I first got the car and it was fine...

my cars been running a bit rich with a 255hp and stock fpr and the engines fine still.

I got my car tuned with a 255 and pte 1000's @22psi pump gas I'm still using the stock fpr but I have been contimplating buying a fpr when I get some extra cash flow

I run a 255lph on a stock 1g FPR and fuel trims are perfect.
