How much better is GSX than a GS?

This kinda sucks since I'm only allowed as a newbie to post in 420A or newbie forum yet I wanted experienced owners input. Whats the point in asking a fellow newbie a question only a veteran would know? They have to fix this posting limits.

Anyway, here it goes. I love my 2G GS but its underpowered and needs a lot of periodic maintenance. Also, every year I see it depreciate. Do you think its better to save money and switch to a 2G GSX as soon as possible? I know the GSX are appreciating in value. So the longer I wait, the more they will cost.

Is it that much better? That much more love able?

Ummm I had a esi before i got my GSX and lets put it this way.... Why would you settle with a sugar cookie when for a little bit more you can get a chocolate chip. Ya the esi was good but nowhere near the GSX.. It was boring in my ESi and my love for DSMs grew so much more when i bought my GSX

. . .Sorry to be a dink. But if you need an answer to this question, then you likely are a bit too inexperienced to help others and are stuck in this forum. Experienced folk can still help you. It's not like we just troll the 'elite forums' ;) .

The gsx is that much better because it is an investment if you think it's appreciating; "Buy low, sell high". As well it's faster. It's stronger. It's cheaper to upgrade. It's got more urban lore backing it. . . if you care.

My best comparison would be like purchasing an old muscle car in the 70s w a six cylinder and drum brakes vs the big block and disc brakes. Not a great comparison but you get the gist.

Ive owned an N/T and now a tsi awd convrted to a GSX and I would NEVER go back period.

My first car was a 1996 GS. I loved it, but after learning more about DSMs, I decided to switch up to a GSX. Sold the GS, picked up the GSX a few days later, and I'll never look back. I love my GSX so much more that I don't see me owning anything that's not a turbo AWD anytime soon.

So my suggestion? Save up and get the GSX, you wont regret it.
