How important is knowing knock when tuning?

FastRthenU needs to STFU.

First of all, you claimed that only 2 things cause knock.

Im sorry but those two things are the cause of knock. Please tell me what else cause's it then.

Then, LandoAWD proved you wrong, so you backpedaled to:

There are a few other things that cause knock. But the main two are lean air/fuel ratio, and two much timing

Then you got owned by Doug, so you did a search on google for "knock" or "detonation, and came up with the following:

http://www.stanford.edu/~bmoses/knock.html

Whoa, look at that. A little creative cutting and pasting, and you have provided us with information that you obviously did not even read, without acknowledging the fact that it was not in any way shape or form your information. That's called plagurism.

So, you were originally wrong, sit down, and understand that nobody is perfect. You made a mistake, it happens, we all do it, but apparently you seem to need to put up the allusion that you are perfect.

Kevin (95GSXRacer) has yet again come through with the information that is actually true and deviod of this "I heard from my buddy who knows a guy" and "I think maybe kinda sorta" bullshit. Read his post, that is all you need to know. And, if you really feel like doing work, read that text you cut and pasted up here.
