How does an eclipse/talon compare to a camaro?

I am just wondering how a 1990-1992 Camaro compares to a 2g eclipse/talon. Which has more potential?

The potential of any car really is only limited by the funds in your pocket bro. It really comes down to which car that you like better. They both can be nasty fast. I've personally beaten Camaro's, a few Stang's, Corvette's, SRT-4's, Subaru's, an IS300, and an old guy in a Deville that wanted to try me on the interstate.... I have less than $4000 into my car.

It really comes down to what car you you want and the goals that you have for it.

it really depends...on budget...a 95-99 gsx is going to cost more than a 1992 camaro..however.. i think performance gains on a gsx is going to be cheaper than the camaro.

thanks for the replies - I was just looking up some reviews of the camaro and I found that the gas mileage is horrible - 13 mpg

i dont know how accurate these times are. i find it hard to beleive the gs-t and gsx ran same 0-60 time. also its hard to beleive that the tsi ran slower than the gs-t.. but this is what i found from this site

I have a 1992 camaro w/ a 305 5spd, that car was a turd. it only had 57,000miles on it, i raced my friends 90 eclipse turbo we both had the same mods, exhaust, filters, he has a boost controller, which i can't, and he housed me. So right from the start the eclipses are better off.

Oh, and i sold my camaro for $6000,
He bought his eclipse for 1250

as for a 2g, i bought myself a 97 GS-T and i'm MUCH happier with the performance on it, and compared to the 90, we are pretty even

I used to have a 91 Fbird and if you dont care for Fuel economy, go fbod
if you like boost, and Fast upgrades that add speed easy, DSM

if you like every time you hit the gas your haulin ass, fbody
