how do you know if you bent a valve

I am unsure if I bent a valve or just broke it but it feel that there is a lost of compression but what would be a good sign that the valve is broken or bent

It would sound like its camed and you would hear it missing and a CEL came on. Thats what happened to me. It was funny because my dad was like did you put cams in it while I was gone. No dad I bent a valve or two ;( and I did bend a exhaust and intake.

It does sound like it is camed and the cel is on so thats another reason that I was thinking the valve could be bent or broken and it could be a sensor too I just have to start testing shit and find out

Do a compression test and post the results.

And after I get the compression test done ill put the results up for you guys to check out

The compression test will tell you what the problem is. If it sounds like it is cammed and you throw a cel then you probably do have a bent valve or more.
