how do you install a 90 ecu wiring harness ecu and engine in a 94 both awd

im trying to swap out the ecu and the wiring herness from a 90 to a 94 both awd eclipse but some of the plugs dont match up the 94 has abs and the 90 dont i think that is the only defrence in the body wiring harness but like i said some of the plugs dont match up almost every where please help

If you're swapping in an entire harness and ecu from a 94, then you're better off swapping the matching sensors that have different plugs. If you're only needing to install the 94 ecu, then really only pins 6 and 14 need to be swapped at the ecu with the factory 90 harness still in the car.

no im swapping a 90 into a 94 because my 90 got t boned the 94 has no ecu and no motor or drivetrain but i do have the 94 wiring harness can i swap out the plug ends from the 90 to the 94 wiring harness or do i have to buy the 94 sensors

The 94 harness will work with the 90 ecu if you swap the two pins. But the 91+ TB has a different plug, also the Transistor pack connector is different.

yea so can i cut the plugs off my 90 harness and rewire them on the 94 harness are they the same amount of wires and the same color wires on the plugs the cas and the tps and coil and the ignition modular or will i have to buy 94 cas tps tb ignition all that stuff

The 91+ wiring is much better than the 90 stuff. Make the 90ECU work in the 94 car, you get the better 7 pin ignition module with 91+

ok so i should buy the tb with sensers and the cas and ignition parts for a 94 is there any other parts i need to get dont have the money for those parts is there away to swap pig tails from one harness to another

so all i need is a 94 to 98 throttle body and fuel rail and a 94 crank angle censer and a 94 coils and 94 ignition modular right
