how do you clean mold out of interior

I have mold in my glove box, ash tray and cup holder and i cant stand it!!! What products do you use to clean it up and kill the mold?

you can go to your local home depot and get products for it. when i worked at servpro as a certified water damage and restoration tech, mold remediator too. we used sporicidin, other companys might use microban. there are tons of products and with it being on plastic just wipe and your good. but my question is how did you get mold in those locations? for mold to grow you have to have the right moisture levels, humidity...ssooo where did the water come from?

A light solution of bleach and water will do the job. Be certain to do a test spot with you solution before gowing to town on the mold. Also, make sure you get all of it, mold is a living organism so you have to kill all of it or it will grow back.

Humidity and the right temp caused a nice mold collection in my 92' Beretta in high school. I took the seats out, unzipped the fabric from foam and used color safe bleach and a moisture disc. It collected scent as well as remaining moisture.( Arm&Hammer) I left my windows down in a rainstorm by accident, and it manifested in 3 days. Another thing to check is under the floor carpet.

yea with all the right ingredients mold germinates in 12-24hrs and visiible grows in 24-48hrs. with mold on plastic your ok to wipe it. on clothes n such we told customers you could throw it in the washer machine but we just recommend to just throw it away. with object that are semi-porse i.e wood, drywall, carpet, pad and even foam n such we just discarded it. same with card board boxes. with plastic the mold doesnt really grow all the way through the object, same with metals

with drywall n such you may see it on the surface but i promise you it is on the inside of the wall and also in the middle of the drywall cause its a porse object. going into houses i always tried to talk customers into getting the money around and buying plastic totes if you have a bunch of stuff in your basement. leave nothing in a cardboard box or it will get ruined and cannot be salvaged

I bought an new center console, and the ash tray and cup holder, seem to have some white mold in the corners. i tried using simple green and it didnt really help.

Sometimes what we thought was mold wasn't just like a calcium build or something. I think we tried vinegar I think don't quote me tho. You could also clean it with the bleach paint it with some kills then go back over it with a factory color.

oh, im gonna assume they have bleach paint in home depot?

I've only seen it in 5gal buckets but the paint is called "killz" idk if they make it in a spray can honestly

Im a detailer so i deal with this stuff alot if i were u i would take it to a detailing shop and ask them to clean those for you bleach could stain what youre trying to clean but if u take it to a detailing shop it will be gone they might not even charge you to just clean those parts if they do it wont be expensive

On plastics bleach n water mix should be fine but don't use bleach on any cloth material cause yea well we all know what bleach does to cloth

+1 on the bleach, killz, and paint idea. oh also they do make killz in gallon, quart, ans even a spray can. we sold them at ace hardware when i worked there.

there ya go get that in a spray can and you'll be golden, i wouldnt steam clean plastic parts, i mean ya could but clean it with bleach n water afterwards, rough the area up a little with scotch bright or sand paper. MAKE SURE TO WEAR A MASK!! i can not stress that enough. you do not want to inhale any spores. they effect everyone differently, mold is no joke. after you rough it up get that killz in a spray can and put down a couple coats. after dries go back over it with factory color and you will be set my friend.
