how do i remove the Torque Converter?
i dont want to F@$% any thing up!

is the engine and trans apart? if so It should just pull straight out. be carfull its heavyer then it looks you dont want to drop it.

Spin it and pull on it at the same time. It should come out then. Make sure its in the whole way when you put it back in. Spin it and push it in at the same time. It should "lock in" 3 times and its in the whole way. If you don't have in in right it will mess the pump up. It should sit back in the bell housing about 3/4" to 1".

i got it out i had to take the 4 flex plate bolts out

actually when you reinstall it should only sit back .64" more like 5/8ths of an inch not 3/4 or 1". that would be a little to much if you had a lot of trouble removing the TC(stuck on the trans pump shaft) it a sign that the pump might be damaged. just thought i should let you know.

I don't have one in front of me to measure it was an estimate. By the way 5/8 is .625 .640 is 41/64
