How do I know what exact model I have?

I recently bought a 98 Eclipse as my first car, and it runs pretty good. The guy I bought it from is an engineer now, and he rebuilt the transmission, and it has a good condition clutch.

It has a bump in the hood and what I believe to be a spot for a Turbo in the top right of the motor. Maybe I'm wrong

All 2g's have the same hood, so that won't tell you anything about it. If it has the timing belt on the passenger side than it is a rs or gs, if it has the timing belt on the driver side than it is a gst or gsx.
