so we had my friends 91' turbo talon at the track tonight. the car is an automatic with no mods really and it turned a 15.8 in the 1/4 is this possible. what should it run. i looked at times in the 1/4 mile time on this site and it has the slowest time listede. help us please!!! i know dsms are faster than this!!

how do i find/ fix the leak??? and we were taking off the air can and thiere was a ton of oil in the upper intercooler pipe, what could that be from?? the pcv has a filter on it and does not run into the intake

These cars run 15s stock so you are not slow.

On top of that, this is an Automatic, so there is more drivetrain loss compared to a Manual. So that time is pretty average, I would say.

FWD or AWD? It has the 13g and the smaller injectors as well since its an auto.

so the auto has a smaller turbo than say the awd 5 speed?? so i could put my extra turbo off of a awd on it and it would be faster:thumb: ??? plus what is w/ all of the oil in the upper intercooler pipe??? would putting a filter on the pcv cause this problem??

Yes the filter will get rid of most if not all of the oil in your IC pipe. The turbo from a manual will also be a great deal quicker.

Well, I'll correct a few things here...He's got a filter on his PCV, which won't do much for oil in the intercooler pipes, but if you put a catch can on your valve cover breather hose (off the left side of the valve cover going back into the intake) then it would probably prevent most oil from getting into the IC pipes. The 14b is a little bigger and I think much better than the 13g. You can't just bolt it up in place of the 13g though, I believe the exhaust manifold is different, but don't quote me on it. You'd probably also need a manual ECU and 450 cc injectors.

The manifold will will work, you just need the plumbing, ie. the oil and coolant lines from the 14b. Use new crush washers, this is a must.

Basically this car is not gonna go much faster than that stock. 13g, smaller injectors, automatic, and the car being 15 years old doesnt help much. Find a 5 speed 1st gen dsm and get the 14b turboand injectors. Add a boost controller and do a boost leak test, then you will be closer to what your expecting.
