hey i just bought my 91 awd talon and i was told by the previous owner that the motor was swapped about 7000 miles ago with some sort of JDM motor..and alot of people look at it and say yeah thats swapped and soem have suggested that it is a galant vr4 motor, how the heck do i tell??? this sounds really dumb but i dont know, the one difference i notice between mine and the stock 1gs is the valve cover, it says Mitsubishi on it..any help would be appreciated..thanks in advance

jdm valve covers do say mitsubishi on them instead of 16valve DOHC 2000. And the JDM motors people purchase from companies that import engines are usually outta vr4's. But you can't judge it by just the valve cover, that valve cover coulda just been swapped in there by someone.
